Brass Key and Rose

A 1910 hotel lobby chandelier's brass finial, removed during a 1947 renovation.

This miniature keychain is fashioned from a brass key salvaged from a 1912 railway station master's office, where it once unlocked a storeroom door. The original key's worn teeth and patina have been preserved, while a delicate rose-shaped charm, crafted from a fragment of a 1960s-era brooch, now adorns the key's bow. Suspended from a slender keyring, the rose and key now serve as a poignant keepsake, its past life as a utilitarian tool transformed into a symbol of love and remembrance.

Brass key with rose charm on key ring.
