Weathered Wooden Drawer

A 1902 apothecary drawer from a pharmacy on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.

This diminutive drawer was once part of a _1902 apothecary cabinet_, its wooden slats bearing the scars of a century's worth of careful use. Tatjana Kreiner has preserved the original drawer's weathered patina, reattaching the ornate metal handle and adding a delicate latch to create a fully functional miniature. The drawer now invites the viewer to consider the secrets it might once have kept, its compact size and worn wood evoking a sense of quiet, intimate use.
