Golden Vase Earrings

A 1910 steam engine's brass valve casing, worn by a century of locomotive service.

The materials for this piece originated from a 1920s Parisian opera house's golden curtain tiebacks, which were meticulously disassembled and reimagined by Tatjana Kreiner. The original brass framework was preserved and augmented with hand-painted details, while the weathered gold leaf was carefully restored to its former luster. Now, the piece stands as a unique vase, adorned with a pair of antique earrings that add a touch of whimsy to its stately presence.

An antique gold vase with two dangling earrings perched atop, showcasing intricate hand-painted details.
