Silver Elephant Cameo

Silver Elephant Cameo

A 1910 opera house chandelier's broken finial and a 1950s microscope's silver eyepiece.

This miniature elephant was originally a silver-plated carriage lamp from a 1962 Rolls-Royce Phantom, its ornate metalwork and delicate glass shade once illuminating the interior of a luxury vehicle. Tatjana Kreiner has carefully disassembled and reconfigured the lamp's components, retaining the intricate silver filigree and marrying it to a new, hand-blown glass body in a deep, rich black. The resulting figurine, its trunk and tusks fashioned from the lamp's original metalwork, now stands as a testament to the artist's ingenuity and attention to detail.

Silver elephant earring figurine featuring a restored, intricately detailed body with black glass accents.
