Green Cloth Table

A discarded 1885 billiard table surface from a Brussels gentlemen's club.

The wooden tabletop and legs of this miniature table were salvaged from the door of a late 19th-century Swedish farmhouse, the original patina still evident in the worn, honey-colored wood. The tabletop has been carefully refinished to bring out the grain, and a new, hand-painted green oilcloth has been applied to the surface, its subtle sheen evoking the soft glow of a summer afternoon. The table now stands as a testament to the beauty of quiet, unassuming craftsmanship.

Hand-painted wooden table with a weathered brown top and green cloth, salvaged from an antique miniature diorama.
