Blue Chair with Cat

A 1942 Royal Air Force training room chair.

This diminutive diorama began life as a worn wooden music box from a 1950s German toy workshop. Tatjana Kreiner has salvaged the box's weathered lid and repurposed it as the roof of a tiny, hand-painted cottage, complete with a delicate blue chair and a serene feline occupant, rendered in precise, miniature detail. The chairs' gentle curves and the cat's tranquil demeanor belie the rough, weathered texture of the original music box lid, now transformed into a charming, self-contained world.

Hand-painted, salvaged wood diorama of a blue chair with a cat.
